'Harley in D----- Form' is a delightfully written piece. Harley the hound's nature has been described lovingly by his devoted owner. It was a pleasure to both read and review a work of this caliber.

Great format, one that is new to me. I love the picture with the sweet dog, who looks like a real buddy. Your visuals are great, and a general warmth is felt when reading it.

What a delightful work about the love of dogs. They do give unconditionally, and they are always our companions. I love the way your prose expresses all those things that make the pooch such a gift to humankind.

I am not familiar with this form, however if your notes are correct, the poem follows the format rules. Your love for your buddy shines out of every word.
Good job!

This Diamante Form was very well done. Very instructive and very vivid as well. It details so well the characteristic of Buddy.

What a beautiful format of a poem. As the Author's note says, I think this is very hard to do. In spite of all that restrictions, the poet was able to make one like this. i admired the poet's brilliancy in making such move.
I liked this piece because the whole message was summarized in just 7 lines...

Hi Patty! Well, you mentioned a couple days ago you were going to do this book --- and now you've already gotten it going! Hooray!!! I really like this Diamante Form --- I had never before heard of it. It looks to me like it's very cleverly designed to have a specific range of impacts on the mind and/or heart of the reader --- and in the case of this poem, it works beautifully! Andy

Thank you so much for reading. Yes - this is a book of poems about pets, and the other book is one of short stories about Harley - on the same lines of 'Lad, a Dog' by Albert Payson Terhune. According to the author of the 'Poet Primer,' the Diamante is a classic form of poetry - but only a few of the poets on FS seem to know it. It is fun to 'stretch' into new territories. THANK YOU so much for reading, and your kind words. ~patty~

Patty,
Please do not try to explain this form of poem to Harley,
unless you want one confused puppy! By the time I could
understand the rules, I would have forgotten what I had intended to write. I can only say that I appreciate your ability to comprehend the style. I liked the description
of the little fellow and your warmth.
Fondly, Lyle

LOL~ I'm pretty sure that Harley doesn't want to write something like this; unless he could write it about one of the cats. Thanks for reading and the generous review. ~patty~
