Great reading. Not sure I told you before, I was a cat person for years. Can't do animals anymore as my wife is in a wheelchair and I am not steady on my feet. Cheers for now.

Hello, my friend, I think cats do miss their owners when they go on vacation although they probably get more treats. A puppy being introduced to the household was probably a little daunting for Simba.when My dad was in hospital recently I looked after his cat called Nellie she is 18 years old and really spoilt one day I was prepared for the worse she wasn't eating stayed in the garage hiding all day I thought oh no because my dad said he was looking forward to seeing her again never the less she perked up the day he came home and all back to normal sorry I go on a bit I enjoyed your story regards Jill

Hi Jill; thank you for the EXCEPTIONAL review of this particular story. Simba was one of those cats who just appealed to your heart. He was adopted and I think he was always grateful I brought him home. I'm so glad Nellie was fine as soon as your Dad came home - pets get attached, too.

A puppy? I'm guessing you were traveling and your kids were watching your cats? I like the description of the typical cat behaviors, cleaning and chasing laser dots.

Hi; good guess! Yes, while I was in Europe, the cats got to go and stay with my son and his boyfriend. Simba was in heaven, because they let him have table scraps! I'm glad you enjoyed the story,

I enjoyed reading this from Simba's perspective. I have always wondered what they really think about our absences and if they miss old homes or people. We have a big red dot at our house too.

My pleasure. I love stories about animals, unless they die in the story.

Great job. Wouldn't it be nice to really know what our furbabies were thinking? Great flow with story and in keeping the readers interest. Looking forward to reading more from you.

A clever story, looking through the eyes of your pet, who "knows" enough English to understand conversations concerning his wherewithal. Cat are fully aware, seemingly,of how to begphave with humans, to keep us happy and feeding them, pretty well Simba does in the fine story. So ,well done, good story, blessings, Roy

Good morning, Patty
Naw, at best I think you only tolerate cats....only joking. One can easily feel your love of cats and how involved you are with them. The POV of your cat at the vet was spot on. Enjoyed.
Take care and stay safe,
Ray

Simba is beautiful. Nice job with your story about him. All of my animals are rescues. It's horrible to think of what may have happened to our animals before they are adopted into their forever homes. Thank you for sharing your story about Simba. Marilyn

We had a Persian When we lived on Palm Island. One day she went missing. We put out posters and two months later a woman came to our house with our cat. She said the family fell in love with her and named her Snow Ball. She told us there was a small scratch on her nose and They had made an appointment to take her to a plastic surgeon, (rich people?).
I said, "Keep Snow Ball.

(Plastic surgery for a cat? Wow - now, that's money.)
