I always love animal poems. It is so true they grow quickly and so much work. The only thing is I love puppy breath. It is something so distinct. Nothing in this world has that The puppy breath. Love your poem and hope it gets great reviews.

loved this, very cute, very honest, open, clearly adorable locution! loved the rhymes and the passion that sears through it; contextualized with the author's notes it makes perfect sense, congratulations. itll break your heart one day, when it goes away, but it's worth it anyway, and that's what happens when we give our hearts away to a dog to tear...(there is a poem called "The Power of the Dog" by Rudyard Kipling you might enjoy googling sometime) and as for your poem, my favorite part was the third stanza; that was really creative poetic license application. thanks for sharing your glee!

They sure are a lot of work but most of the time worth the trouble. I don't remember puppy breath. I have had quite a few dogs through the years, but the thrill of a new puppy never pales. I wish you many good years with your family member.

This is a cute short poem, and I love it because its the truth. I have five dogs and they are all like this. The picture you decided to use for your poem is cute and I can imagin that little puppy doing all those things.

This is a nice little rhyme based poem with a lot of quick little rhymes and a assimily at the the end which works well. Good imagery use and picking of words. I like the description of the physical energy of the puppy and felt it was crafted well and was interesting to read. Nice job and good injection of poet's viewpoint at end. Works well there.
