It's been a while, snod. I've forgotten a few of the details - like what happened in the car with Lee and Jones... Anyway, it'll make sense again as I read on.
This entire chapter built tension, but not being much of a techie, not a whole lot of it was significant to me. I just sort of read along, to the surprise end of the chapter. Well written, I didn't spot any spags. Next?

Lee tried to read her thoughts without consent, straight after the police had tried to do the same thing. Yes, it's been a while, but I'm determined to finish this before I die. Sorry about the techy stuff. I tried to make it as generic as possible, because technology ages so fast, so everything is just boxes and wires, but I couldn't see how I could get through the scene without describing at least some of the boxes. Thanks for perservering

You've a peculiar style of your own, in which you describe characters by third person singular, mostly. However the story was interesting and quite thoughtful. The scenes are written well, and the end is nice
