I know she'll be worried about Joe on top of worryin g about Cassie. I surely hope they find that girl safe and soon. Another great, attention-grabbing chapter.

Compelling dialogue placed within an effective riveting story of intrigue and interest. VERY involved interactive composition. The story holds the reader's eye for detail as delivered succinctly.

I like your writing style. Easy and clear, without a lot of hyperbole. Nit
should the paragraph starting 'Joe shuts the door...' be italicized. Dan :))

Hi Barbara,

I thought you dealt with the issues around child pronography very well here, you've touched on it through your character's reactions but haven't spent the entire chapter dweeling on it, which is the right tack to take in this kind of novel, in my opinion anyway.

The stress of everything is clearly shown through Sara's character in this chapter.

I loved the Joe's line... "The youngest woman I've ever found attractive is nine years younger than me."

That was a real, 'aw' moment.

Great chapter, I didn't find the extra length arduous as your writing is so clear and rivetting!

Jules

PS - Good luck on wednesday, I'll be thinking about you.

I feel that although the story is ok their is not much happening with the finding of cassie and this is what the whole book is about.
Yes a line or two is mentioned at the end. Just my opinion but the last few chapters haven't been as enjoyable to read as the rest of the book.

ok their is not much happening with the finding of cassie and this is what the whole book is about. (Sorry, my dear, but this is a romance and the suspence is very minor or it's a subplot and not nearly as the romance.)

The photo really matched the story and I enjoyed reading this excellent chapter. I hope they get those bastards soon and get Cassie back unharmed. Keep up your spirits.

Sara and Joe are still waiting for Cassie. She might be in a warehouse, but Joe can't get a warrant. Waiting is hard. Sara is thinking about the horrible things that could be happening to Cassie.

The length seemed fine to me.

Hopefully, Cassie hasn't been used in any films yet. Good chapter! Just one thing I noticed:

"Dani says something('s) big [is] about to happen. What's going on?" - sentence read a little funny. I suggest removing 's and adding 'is'.

PS. Glad you're feeling better. :)

Hi Barbara,

I don't mind how long your chapters are as I am so into this story. The notion of Cassie being held to make child pornography is sickening....but I know it is so true. There are a lot of monsters out there and I hope they catch the one who has Cassie soon. This is a great chapter and I am glad Sara is beginning to realize that Joe loves her for who she is and is working hard to find Cassie. Oh me, oh my, you left me hanging once again! I'm sorry your last chemo was difficult for you and hope it will be over soon so you can get on with your life. Blessings, chey

Barbara - you write so well! The tension on this post was tuned just right. You have a way of writing that gets your reader involved with the story, understanding the frustrations and wanting like Sara for the world to be right again. Regards, Bill
