Maybe one of the stories your daughter will tell is how you wanted her to read the eulogy you prepared. Your life sounds busy and fulfilling. I wish you many more years of achievement.

Thank you for reading and the generous review; it would be nice if someone were to read the eulogy I prepared! LOL!

It is an interesting way how you wrote this about yourself but as your daughter telling the story.

No matter what we want our families will certainly put their take on things, hopefully good things.

Good luck in the contest.

Marcii

Thank you for reading and the generous review - I appreciate your kind words, and that you saw how I developed this story - too many people thought that it was about my Mom!!

Writing one's own eulogy --- kind of a scary exercise, I think, but almost certainly a worthy one in which to participate. For if we write the eulogy which we would hope to be ours, we might perhaps begin immediately living our life so as to justify that glowing eulogy, as that unknown day draws daily closer.

This particular example, The Tribute, is very well written, flowing with exceptional smoothness, gently touching the heart of the reader throughout --- and undoubtedly causing each reader to reflect very deeply upon his/her own life and mortality. Well done!

That would be the perfect funeral in my opinion. There is nothing better than sharing wonderful stories that endear the person to us. great job.

This was well written and certainly should fulfill the requirements of the contest. Death is always so difficult to take. I wonder how my non-christian friends handle it. It is always a strength to know that when someone you love dies that they are in a better place. Good luck in your contest. Regards, Bill

I sense an excellant writer in your work. Your decriptions are good. I understand that this is a eulogy, but had you put a humorous or emotional description into the story it would have much more appeal. I can tell by the way you string words that you are a good writer, but this piece was a little like an essay. I hope I have been some help.

I must admit that I have found the eulogies I have read on here very interesting. Your eulogy shows that you have great faith in God and that you are someone many people are glad they know/knew. Good luck

I found this well written and moving. The characters came across well and the dialog sounded realistic and seemed natural. My mother was a writer and is the reason I write today. I never got to give her an eulogy , she vanished in the Texas desert twenty years ago and no one has seen or heard from her since.

I truly liked this very special eulogy work. I learned a lot about the life of this courageous and faithful lady. So touching the wine story...I love my wine as well and I hope that "upstairs with Him" will be the crown of the toast.

I love what you have done with this story. You have inspired me to try the same thing one day - but not today! I like the details of the liking wine too much and the coffee and cats in her office. Nicely done.
