Glad I had a six to give to this wonderful Rondeau. It is such a nice nod to nature. Thanks for the new to me word, 'coruscating' It fils the poem beautifully in meter, measure and meaning. As you know, Rondeau's are one of my fabourite genres for poetry. They are much tougher than they look because of the multiple AB Rhymes - Hard to pull off, and yet you make it look simple. If this were a contest entry, it would surely be a winner. Rose.

Well written and comforting and enjoyable to read. Strong lines and images all feeding into the flow of the poem, pulling the reader down the page. Such beauty is not easily captured in simple words but you have managed to bring the light to focus. Thanks for sharing!

Glistening serene in its beauty. The poets words are woven in a harmonious flow of a woman's bathing and pools of waters. It leads me to believe it was in a dreamy state this took place. Very beautiful.

You have created a beautiful poem following the rules of a rondeau. I was moved by it. I'm not sure if I could write a rondeau anywhere close to what you have done.

Brooke,
This flowed so beautifully..I especially loved the first opening lines..They draw the reader into a warm, loving place.
You even taught me a new word...coruscating. You have a wonderful style of teaching. Thank you...

This is beautifully written and very enjoyable. I am impressed with the rules you had to follow to write this. I love how positive it is. I am trying to learn more about formal poetry. Is there a book you would recommend for this?
Great read. Thanks for sharing it.

My favorite book about formal poetry is The Ode Less Travelled by Stephen Fry - it is not overly complex and has a nice narrative style but provides clear information. Thanks so very much for your most generous review :-) Brooke

Thank you so much for the book title. There are so many books, it is hard to know what to get. Thanks again!

a land of visionary dreams,
beyond the scope of poet's themes,
a world my words can never show.
This is a n awesome rondeau. Followed to the letter for the style and if flows as wonderfully as that same stream you speak of.
Great use of imagery here, poet. Gosh I just love this style in the hands of someone who truly knows poetry!!!
Ahem, that would be you!!!

I am wondering if you are writing about the perfect mother, or just bright beautiful sunshine, or maybe unconditional love. Okay, I am done trying to figure it out. Great job.

What I had in mind was the Earth, our world, my home - but I've read several fascinating interpretations from various readers, and I love that about poetry, that once the poem exists in the world, it lives a life freed from my intentions :-) Thanks so much, Barbara :-) Brooke
