A very beautiful and moving poem, with evocative and musical lines, with such a fine and powerful last verse. This last verse is quite perfect.

Haunting verse and intriguing point of view, that of the Harbour. I get a sense of the nostalgic, romanticized view and creative comparisons. I feel as though I am missing out, not meeting this dear Friend. Best wishes and thanks for this well-crafted portrait.

This was a beautifully written descriptions of Sydney Harbour. Your picture set the stage for your words. This had a wonderful smooth flow and read easily from beginning to end. Well done and good luck.

Aussie, well I tried to give you another six, but they say I have awarded you 2 in 30 days. Somehow I do think that is unfair. Exceptional work is exceptional and an author deserves such. Once again a most magnificent write. Through the eyes of the harbour. You have some magnificent phrases here that capture the essence fo your piece. Love it truly..jimi

Hullo Aussie ....
How lovely it is that you have such happy memories of Sydney Harbour from your childhood days. In this writing, with the unusual rhyming scheme of abba, you have very poetically described the different attributes of the Harbour and those who look upon its beauty.
Thank you for sharing this with us. I enjoyed it.
Love from ..... Nanette Mary.

What a pleasant t surprise to find a fellow Australian poet here! Your poem conjured up many images for me- the beauty of the harbour is portrayed well. I now live in Tasmania but enjoy a trip to the big smoke occasionally.

Hello Aussie, Nice to know a fellow Aussie is writing on FS. Tasmania is a lovely place, steeped in convict history - plent of subject matter for your writing. Thanks for reading my poem about my memories of Sydney - I live in Queensland now. Cheers, Kay.

I sense a sadness in your opening imagery, Kay - this is really just a beautiful piece, my friend - love the thief and his swag imagery and every other beautifully descriptive line, for that matter :-) Brooke

I guess it comes across as sad; through the sightless eyes of the harbour that has seen so much. Thanks for reading Brooke. TLC Kace.

Wonderful art work and the words written were excellent
words written about "The Sydney Harbor"
I haven't been to Sydney for years.
So much has been written here about " The Sydney Harbor"
I feel sad in knowing that our precious "Sydney Harbor"
maybe neglected in some way.
I feel, not attending to climate change, could destroy the
beauty of the "Sydney Harbor"

I totally agree with your sentiments; our harbour is not the same as when I was a child. It has become a rubbish dump - still 'she' fights back. Thanks for reading. Cheers, Kay.

We have a wonderful country Kay. I was born in Sydney but have lived in Melbourne nearly all my life.
I feel the government is spending money in the wrong places.

You have great artwork and your arthor notes are superb-you have a good flow with your poem and you are descriptive-you write with emotion about this harbor that you use to play at and now you let go and have memories--great job.
