Hello to you and a happy new Yr. I was recommended to read your work by Juliajames, I have read some of your work and decided to comment on this very good poem which tells the very sickening story of rape.
Firstly I would like to congratulate you on your perfect ten syllable lines which provide your work with outstanding form and Meter/Metre. It is a poem that insists that the reader sits up and reads with the care and attention that it truly deserves. A well deserving contest winner and poem of the month award, Well done you.
As a new writer of very little experience, I can read this and see the difference between a good write and a fantastic write, this clearly, for me falls into the latter. I would like to follow your work if you don't mind, with the hope of gaining a little more knowledge. Wishing you every success.

Great poem, though it is so horrible a story. It makes me think about all the coercive sexual situations that women, men and children find themselves in. Thank you for this, a difficult topic, written well, and flowing well. The picture, text layout and colour are all really well suited to your verse. Looking forward to reading more of your work.

Exceptional Sonnet. One can't help but be pulled into the story and feel the brutality of the rape. It is true, rape happens everyday - perhaps every second. Lord knows there is so much of it - especially in countries where human life is treated without dignity. But, both Canada and the US have their share of these disgusting indiviuals as well. No wonder this poem won Poem of the Month. Well deserved, indeed. Rose.

Your imagery is amazing. Isn't it sad to note how many rapes occur throughout history and into the present time. The damage they do is overwhelming. It took guts to write a poem like this. My hat is off to you.
