Barbara, I like George, too. He's a comforting soul to have around Sara. Good job as always with your storyline, conversations and realism that draws us into the story. Anxious to know where Joe is going at midnight.

I know the feeling about poss. I never think mine are ready. I didn't see too much to fix, this is what I noted down.
I do appreciate the description which is so natural of the walls being painted and the conversation, however I do need to ask myself. If my daughter was missing, would I give a rat's ass about wall color. It might be a distraction, but in reality, Sara should be a total wreck.
He moved the bedding aside, so Sara could sit.
(I dn't think there should be a comma)
"How much sleep have you had the past two night(s)?"

Ah...We are about to find Cassie! I like the dialogue between Joe and Sara. I think they are developing a trusting relationship, or Sara is becoming more trusting of Joe. I enjoyed this chapter. Looking forward to the next. ( I think you may have left out 'we' in this sentence. "Will be able to get that back?"
