I do hope tings are going well for you, and I'm so glad you were able to post the next bit of the story; I always look forward to reading it. You're doing a great job revealing Sara's feelings and apprehension. I can certainly tell from her actions ad words that she's frantic with worry for her daughter. Of course, who wouldn't be? The point is, you manage to convey this really effectively. I enjoyed the little touch of humour about the paint colour at the end.

LOL on the sunglasses. I always try to have three pairs of reading glasses hanging around, one at work, another at my computer at home and a spare... I get paranoid if I don't have my glasses nearby.

Loved the story progression. I am glad Sara is more accepting of Joe, even though the gun seemed to put her off a bit. I don't know how a mother might react, but most men would be glad to see him with a gun in hopes he'd blow the culprit straight back to hell. Ray aka krylon

My husband spent 23 years in the Army as a CID agent. He was supposed to have his weapon on him at all times. I hate guns and raised 4 boys who had a curiousity about guns. I never allowed him to bring a gun in the house. As a younger agent, he got permission to leave it at work. As he grew in rank, he didn't need permission. Thank you for your kind review.

Barbara, I would love to find a man just like Joe. Actually, I had a Joe in my life. He was wonderful (my first husband who passed away). Joe's must be great. LOL.... and I'm glad George will be helping pick the paint!

I could really feel the tension within Joe and Sara as they dealt with their swirling emotions of fear and their feelings toward each other. The only thing I noticed to take a look at was the use of the word "gulped" maybe a few too many times.

I have a habit of using a favorite word over and over again. I guess this time it was gulped. I will watch that. Thank you for your kind review.

I have that habit, too. I don't even realize I'm doing it!

The chapter is great. Even with the stress I feel that things will be okay. I think that the team and their characters set it off well. I saw no editing but I was reading intently.

Nice. Well written with no spags I could find. I hope it is all going in right direction and they do find Cassie or something to lead to her.

Good read.

Hi Barbara - you know I'm a fan. I really think this is the all time best. It has everything. It has emotion, all sorts of tension, and as all your work, so technically correct. Anybody who would read this and not eagerly await the next post is most likely brain dead! Very warm regards, Bill

Hi, Barbara. You have my admiration. Some of the books I followed so far are not as consistent in appearing in FS as yours. Some stop immediately. But you, with your problems (including the sunglasses) are dependable. Though, we will understand if you have a break every now and then. This chapter is as always, interesting and believable. I've come to like the sensitive character of Sara and the gentleman and more daring attitude in Joe.
