Well that was an exciting meeting with a few rounds of fisty cuffs, well described.
Could understand why Sara had questions though, quite understandable she doesn't want to end up being the one hit.

This was an action packed chapter and answered some important questions. I like that Sara is such a strong female character. She has vulnerability and timidness but also carries a hidden strength to use whenever necessary. I think her missing daughter managed to "wake the sleeping giant" and I loved it!

I must admit you pack a lot of action into each chapter. The blend of narrative and descriptive writing work together well and move the plot along well. Characters are well developed and the dialogue works most of the time.

Violence in the sense of a storied encounter for cause always arouses the vigilante spirit.
A curious back story and a little personal history lends an air of authority to the writing.
In the military, I did meet some dangerous men, the UDT at that time.
They were uniformly, supremely self-confident. Some, when intoxicated, became a handful for their friends. Others were quite abstemious.
I often thought the Marines should be sent to a un-boot camp to condition them to civilian life.
I will say that the contemporary Marine seems far less pugnacious. However, there seems to be a growing gang presence that manifests itself off the base.
