i think you did an excellent story about someone who chooses to die, by their own hand, in the beautiful haven that they have found, letting the horse go to her own roots and ending life in a paradise.

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. That's the way I heard it. Sometimes Suicide is the only solution. This is very well written.

Hi Charlie. I just get in moods. When I go, sure wish I could just ride out and take a permanent nap out west somewhere! Lol...after a few more years? ") Thank you Charlie!! Susan

I love the desert at dawn. You're welcome, Susan. Charlie

Charlie, have you ever seen a real roadrunner?? Your reply made me remember the only one I have ever seen, it was dusk tho, and honest, he was there and gone, in a trail of dust, in just a couple of seconds...just like the cartoon! ") We saw an armadillo too. It did ball up, and we touched it's armor. ") Susan

We have a roadrunner who stays in the neighborhood. I think some of the neighbors feed it. I have seen numerous roadrunners in the wild, but I have never seen a baby, or young one.

That's neat!! My brother and I were kids when we traveled thru Texas and then Arizona, where we saw the little roadrunner! I will never forget it!! That tiny trail of dust he left. Just awesome. Thanks for sharing Charlie! Susan

You're welcome, Susan. At dawn, in the mountains, you get to see a great variety of wild life. Charlie

Wow, is it okay to ask where you are lucky to be living?? Sounds wonderful. I cannot imagine. Well, yes I can, I just wish! ") S.

I live in Prescott Valley Arizona. I am surrounded by mountains. Up until the developers got wild and loose with their building, Our highways use to have herds of Antelope, Deer, Elk, etc. lining it. Alas, this is no more.

Oh, wow Charlie! You really are out west! ") No wonder you write so well of these things! It's a shame about the wildlife, I hear the cougars are attacking people who build farther out into their territory too. I wish I could paint a picture of your sunsets out there! My mother used to subscribe to "Arizona Highways" I imagine there are still copies in the basement of the old house. Thanks for sharing Charlie!! ") Susan

"Arizona Highways" are very collectible. The cougar attacks are happening in California. I haven't heard of any trouble here in Arizona.
