More worthy of the quality of seal than other writes so far. Interesting word weaving, lolz

Only suggestion would relate to giving a little more oomph or twist to the last sentence.

Great story! I'll admit I was a bit confused during parts of it, but everything came together in the end. Clever idea, this was definitely worth reading.

Great story and very well written. I love your descriptions, especially this one:

I woke up with a head like a cowdung cannonball but a spirit as high as the clouds.

Ah, Susan, you know how to stroke an ego :-). I just got through my 2011 Writer's Handbook, so i'll be looking through my work to see what merits being sent off somewhere. It's the step I never take, so it's high time I got on with it.

lol, thanks Tel. This was a lot of fun to write, although I had no idea where I was going with it when I started. That was part of the pleasure :-)

wow, Mike:

I certainly did not see that coming
sometimes when we stop at nothing
to get where we want to go, innocent
people get hurt -- especially when we
want to be as intelligent as God

good luck in the contest

Thank you, Jan. This slightly nuts story came together while I was writing it, which is always fun. I do think some things should stay unknown, and the relentless hunting of 'truth' (whatever that is) may not be a good thing. I'm glad you enjoyed the read :-)

Well it must surely be the "wankstain" that had me from first word count ...lol...omg there are so many colloquialisms in this piece I wanted to read it a few times to just make sure I got them all. A fabulous write and read. You really are a rock and roller in the writer's arena Mike! Well done! ... xoxo Kiwi

Thanks, Kiwi :-). I love combining fantasy writing with earthy dialogue - I think it helps keep the characters real. Oh alright, so it's fun to write as well, lol. I find myself writing so much poetry recently, I felt the need to scribble a story for a change :-)

LOL! I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry. This is definitely outstanding. So outstanding, one could fear it is the truth. Absence does feed faith. No doubt there.

Amazing work.

Now that's how to start the day - with a great review that puts a smile on my face. Thank you, Anabelle :-). It's still dark here in London as my train sails towards work, but your review is a little light on my phone! lol, sorry if that sounds a bit weird, I think I'm still half asleep. I'm so glad you enjoyed my story :-)

You're very lucky to live in London. I find it an amazing city. Your comments didn't sound strange at all. In fact, they warmed my heart. Have a wonderful day. :-0

Goodness gracious, Mike - this is just one intriguing piece, not that I'm about to pretend to understand the philosophical/science theory behind it! LOL The whole idea of what is theoretical, what is actual, what part of truth is "solid" and what part perception - it sure makes for one helluva story with real world ramifications of the highest order in the conclusion! Brooke :-)

Thank you, Brooke :-). I love the idea that we could unmake reality with too much truth, that perceptual fantasy is what defines the parameters of our existence. Plus, it's always fun to write something a bit weird! Armageddon at the behest of a journalist's fervour...

I had to read it through twice. What a marvellous skit. I have thoroughly enjoyed your wild tale and I'm off back to read it a third time. Pat.

Thank you Pat! You know me - if I can be weird, funny, violent, phylosophical, and apocalyptic all at once, I'm a happy chappy :-)
