I don't know who you wrote this about, but having PTSD is no laughing matter. I feel for anyone who suffers from this. Hope he comes back for you. great job.

This is a beautiful but sad work. It is very well written and flows smoothly. The emotional impact it delivers is tremendous. I understand all about PTSD because my husband has it. May God bless you both.

Smurphgirl,

My old neighbor is also schizofrenic. I love her very much. I hope your friend is okay. If there's anything I can do to help, just let me know.

A beautiful letter to a friend and clear evidence of the simple fact that we are all connected and each and every soul is of value.

In times of personal crisis, it is often hard to remember what a valuable member of the human family each and every one of us is and how valuable our individual voices.

I am looking forward to Cranial Thinkers return. You have done us all a favor by bringing our attention to his work.

Bravo!

In my many years working as a psychiatric nurse and managing a mental health residence I became so tired of the labels society put on my friends because of their diagnosis. As their advocate, I fought hard against the stigma and discrimination they face on a daily basis. Sometimes, even they, blamed themselves, or felt responsible for their illness, seeing it as a punishment, or a sign that they were a bad/inferior/disposable person.

I believe that mental health is a continuum, that none of us are wholly sane, and people's fear comes from the fact they see something of themselves in the people who suffer. I used to attend a writing group with some of my clients and was always impressed by their dazzling creativity.

Your letter to your friend is beautiful and your concern for him is valid. I will pray for him and you in hopes that you will hear from him. Bless you, Midge

Thank you so very much for your wonderful 6 stars and your obvious understanding and compassion for those dealing with mental health issues. As a person who suffers from PTSD and Borderline Personality Disorder I have first hand knowledge of the difficulties we face. Ignorance is number one on my list. My friend is a sweet, brilliant, amazingly gifted, and gentle person. I pray too that I hear from him if only to learn that he is okay.

I have read quite a lot of Cranial Thinkers poety, Sasha and I agree with you, he is a man tortured by so much but who has an inner light. I too hope nothing untoward has occurred. Do let me know if you hear any news.

Hugs
Kat
