I love your poem it is so spritually fulfilling the way you have God always there to catch those who fall. `But if their sorrow seems to deep to reach.....` I love these lines. I lost my father in 2003 and then my mother in 2007 and my sorrow seemed to deep to reach for anyone and it was only when I turned to God that the pain, although always there, seemed a lighter burden to carry. Thanks for sharing and God bless.

Oh, God bless you! Was pleasantly surprised to read your review of this! I wrote it a good while back. Didn't think anyone could even see it now. I'm so sorry about the loss of your parents. I know how you feel. Lost my Mom(also my best friend) in 6-95. Then in 6-04 lost my sister and nine months later, lost my Dad. Believe me, I know your pain. I love how you said when you turned to God, the pain eased up. Was true for me as well. Thank you so much for reading it and God Bless too!

Excellent poetry! Great word choice and meter: your prayer has a real flow that carries you through it. I also like the fact that you are praying for others and not yourself. Good job - a great contender for the contest.

Lovely piece of work. The flow is good. The rhyming is good. The story line was easy to follow. The only flaw noted was the last line in the sixth stanza was out of sync with the rest of the flow, the line appears to be to long. Your correction to the line has accomplished it's desired results. Nice job. Excellent read and piece.

Thank you! And you are absolutely right about the last line. I felt the same way. I just went back and re-did it. The original line was " for You were listing to their heart when it was breaking " I changed it to " Listening to their hear while it's breaking" Let me know if it doesn't make sense that way. Hope it flows better like that. Thank you for your kind words and for being honest :)

Beautiful poem! I loved the rhyming of it and flowed very well. Through all our storms we go through, God is right there with us. What a wonderful prayer to pray over friends at sea. I loved it!
