Mike, I have often wondered ... I am SSSOOO glad that I asked. This has been a singular work. I have had a wonderful journey through this wretched world and you leave the ragged hanging epitaph in a world reawakening to life.
Stunning. Pat.

Thank you, Pat :-). With a little reworking of chapter 4, I will be very happy with this. Several people have told me to get it published, but I have no idea which mags or periodicals might be interested. *sigh* Time to do some research, I guess!
Thanks for your amazing support throughout the project, and I still love your idea of pictured pages to accompany each 'part'. Once my wedding is out the way (12th November), I hope to have time to have a proper stab at it.

Will definitely read it all. Amazing talent and such a tale you weave in and out dark and light ... blisters me and refreshes me ... love how you twist and turn this to score an amazing victory...So well done simple words don't do your work justice...Suffice it to say .... BRAVO! a damn fine piece of writing. Thank you for writing and sharing with the newly inspired amateurs such as myself!

Thank you :-). I've had such a great reaction to this series and it's almost a shame to have finished the story, but I wanted to end while the ideas were still strong in my head. I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

An interesting read enticing me to read more. Great rhyming throughout and some vivid imagery. I particularly liked xxvii where I thought the description was particularly good. Well done. An epic journey. Frances

Thank you, Frances. I really appreciate the read and review. This piece took a lot out of me, but it felt well worth it in the end :-)

I absolutely wish I read this from the beginning. Unfortunately I am just here for the money. I know how things can falter toward the end of the process. Your writing is complicated. It is very well thought out. The architecture is solid. The story is appropriate. Except the writing blurs together. I might be too far gone(tonight) to pay this the due attention. I will say, I hope you got that foot out of your mouth with that giant pat on the back. Just kidding poet. This was great.

Thanks, SP, I think! :-). In all seriousness, I'm glad you enjoyed this chunk of poetry. I agree that flow can detract from the words themselves, but if pitched right it can also accentuate the appropriate phrases. Thanks for the awesome rating, mate!

Always more questions than answers and as we seek both we do get confused with the paradoxes. Well done and congratulations for making it to the end.

Thanks, Donovan! I've had a pretty amazing response to this final installment. It does feel good to have reached the end, although I feel a little lost as to what to write nextnow. When I've been so bedded down in one setting for a couple of months, other ideas feel a little shallow. Thanks again :-)

Reading about the bombs in Nagasaki and Hiroshima, I wondered if this little twist had some hint of that, but probably just me. I loved the sad tale. Great job.

There's certainly a large slice of nuclear desolation in this story, and anyone who'se seen footage of those terrible weapons being deployed will understand the horror that even a tiny (by today's standards) bomb can inflict. I honestly believe that if one country ever fires a nuclear weapon now, the result will be the end of the planet. We'd better hope it doesn't happen! I'm no anti-nuclear evangelist, but I like the world how it is; alive :-)

Your poem certainly paints a devastating scene of darkness and hopelessness. I'm certainly happy you interjected a solution. You are indeed a very profound artisit.

This is the first time I've read your work and I loved it! The flow is smooth and effortless and your choice of words present a vivid picture. I would like to read the previous chapters. Well done!

That's way too long for me to read. I've seen shorter John Irving novels. But I "liked it, it's only rock and roll but I liked it..."

A very peculiar poem which illustrates a parody of life in which fiction becomes a reality.
I like it because you put us to meditate on the human side.
