talk to the tempests and ride on raindrops, what a lovely alliterative line that describes so beautifully this speaker's dream of paradise.
The image of the wind bringing him home is so uplifting and gorgeous to visualize
Kay, this is, without a doubt, one of your best, in my view, but I'm currently restricted from giving you sixes since I've given you two recently. It's Tom's fault, not mine!! Brooke :-)

This is a most beautiful poem. You are taking your readers along as your spirit ventures into places yet to be explored, places where you can "learn to love and be free."

Everyone who you meet on this journey will be enriched by your joy and determination.

As a free form poem it can, naturally, be of any meter, rhyme scheme, syllable count, or punctuation; so there is no revision needed, now is there?!

There are some fine moments of metaphor, so I enjoyed this.

Thanks,
G

Bob, We all need to go 'walkabout' outside this world of darkness and enjoy the light. Thanks, Kay.

This is a wonderful poem! I can relate to it very strongly, and am deeply touched by your words.

"And smiles and tears are truths in themselves."

What a particularly beautiful line, with such great insight!

My best part are these lines and the whole poem is very full of imagery and metaphors. Great word usage and keep it up:
And I shall come home only after the days
Have taught me to love and be free.
You will know when I am returning
For the wind will lend me a home-bound breeze to sail upon.
Lovely poem!
Nicole.

I love the imagery of this telling. The poetic form and cadence work very well. I thank you for sharing this with us.

"just tell them
I've gone chasing after rainbows,
They'll understand"

love the inage this conjures up...
