My dear, I'm so glad that you wrote about this. I won't go into great detail in this review, but we have a very similar situation going on in that my ex-husband married my best friend and next door neighbor since I was two years old and I've gone through many trials and tribulations in dealing with the accompanying emotions. Yet when illness strikes, as it did in my case as well, the ill will seems to evaporate - I know exactly how you are feeling and want to let you know that I support your right to write about this here on FanStory.
Writing about personal matters such as this not only is cathartic, but may help someone else who is going through the same situation. I would ask those who question why it is necessary to post a personal work such as this to give reason as to why it is necessary for authors to post graphic stories of rape and abuse - yet they are posted every day and are well received. We are free to post anything we please on this site. If someone does not want to read our personal issues, there is a "skip" button that is easily pressed.
May you get through this situation with the help of your God, I know you rely heavily upon Him. You'll be in my prayers, dear Jani.

Hi, Janilou, this is fantastic, the more so because it is biographical. I think you have the right to be angry. Don't be too hard on yourself, and let the years in between go away without feeling guilty. However, feeling remorse, and being friends with her again, is so much better. Cheers to you.

Well, I guess because I wanted to throw it out there and see what the reaction was, before I passed it on to Gaye, and because there is a Letters & Diary category for work here. :-)
