A sad and very insightful poem about the end of life. It is quite well written and flows beautifully from beginning to end, leaving its touching message.

Your poem asked the question we all asked of ourselves, if we are fortunate to live a long life, "Did my life pass the test?" This simple, but important question reveals a man who loved life, his family, and God.

It is good if one can come to that point in life where one can truly have those reflections.
Totally at ease with life, I hope it is the same for me.
Nicely written.
Have a good day,
Rgstar

Good grief - it's you again. Don't you feel guilty about monopolizing Fan Story postings, only kidding. Very nice musings that we can all relate to. The older we get, the more we think back on our lives and, hopefully, do feel we have more accomplishments than regrets. Hugs, Lou

I love this. The rhyming was really good. It tells the story in a poem. As I lay here at rest, did my life pass the test, set by my father before? I love this verse.

This was written so well. I just love the feeling within me after reading the passionate description of this persons recollection of his life. Your writing, once again, is terrific! I enjoyed this very much!

This is a rather matter of fact look at end of life, kind of like and over view, and to me, indicates one lived well without a lot of regret or fear of what is on the other side.
