I can see that you put a great deal of thought and life lessons into your poems. I truly loved this one. It's well written and I also love the photograph.

Some interesting thoughts that we all at times have pondered from time to time. And as time passses and we near the end they come to mind more and more. For me october would be the perfect time to die.

I'm not sure I understand this one. It asks questions, but continues without answers, or the slightest hint of the purpose. Some of the lines are just awkward as though they were pasted there after the write from another story/poem. I'm by no way considering this work as a serious lament. Kenny

Drink what?--and what does it have to do with the verse?

This is a lovely, touching and very provocative poem. In some lines it recounts the thoughts on my own life. My favorite line "Regrets from the past did set my road, which I was made to follow..."

The end comes for us all. If we've not wasted our life, we can die in peace, hopefully not suffering from a horrific disease, lingering for months is sheer misery. Death is peace. Dying is the hard part, so at least make it quick.. an option we don't all get. :(

The first line, echoed as the last, is very evocative of course - we all think about the end of our lives with wonderment.

However, I found a number of the other lines rather awkward with forced meaning and phrasing - perhaps driven by the need to have rhyme in places and even lines. I am sure I just reviewed another of your poems which I felt was much better because you use free verse.

There's two things we will all face in this life. One: is taxes, and two: Death. Hopefully there'll be some satisfaction that it's been a good life. Like the setting of an October Morn. Of course, I just realize this might not be of death, but maybe of just leaving, saying goodbye. Very heartfelt. Les

A man who made his life as he saw fit and left the things behind to seek those ahead. This poem speaks of the natural regrets of life in a satisfied yet longing way. Great emotion with calm satisfaction laid in. Well done!
