Lovely. Sad, but lovely. Interesting. The sea claims yet another but only in body for the souls rise and fly with warm eyes and open arms. Lovely write.

This has the authentic sound one would expect to be written by one like yourself who is acquainted with real seamen - and may be one. You present the storm at sea with frightening reality. My best to you, Jeanie Mercer

but someone has caught me, carries me high, warm smiling faces with glows in their eyes

I have come home now, at rest in this place; the Sea, and its Sailors, we sail in God's grace.

I could feel the peace and then the panic. I love water and its messages to me when near. God speaks in rhythmic waves and is always there even in the storm.
I am thankful to find your write today. Thank you for sharing.

With respect, I think this poem would benefit from shorter lines and being split into stanzas rather than the current somewhat formidable block format.

Good expression of your dire situation and last loving flashing memories before death and being taken to Heaven by the angels.

I sure hope that's what happens to us all in the 'end'.

Cheers, Ray

A very gentle interpretation of a doomed voyage and the range of emotions experienced as the end comes and goes. Your light touch wiht language works well in this piece, drawing us along on the sad but ultimately triumphant tale.

this poem has a lot of very good and strong imagery. You made me feel as if I were inside the poem experiencing what the person is going through.

Excellent rhymes throuout and the poems flows smoothly.
Safe to say I won't be going out on a boat for a while.

Cheers and be well, Drusilla1
