adewpearl,
This poetry type of quatrains with first line as a refrain and AAbb rhyming pattern must have a name, but I can't find it. Anyway this styles allows the poet to explore a subject while keeping the focus always before the reader. Well done.

These quatrains are charming in their imagery and message, Brooke, yet, despite your note about the syllable count, I was not quite comfortable when I read it aloud. However, if it's not the best of yours that I have read, it's way above the rest. Peter

Thank you, Peter - yeah, it's not my favorite ever either - you and Michael/Jarlsbane are the two people to pick up on its being a little off, which I felt before I ever posted it - my most astute readers, no surprise :-) Brooke

This sounds almost like the lyrics to a song, I like the energy of this piece and insightful thoughts. Easy to read easy to comprehend and understand, I also enjoyed imagery, as it relates to the contents of your piece. Well done no errors of mistakes Alexandernd

At least you found a daisy or two to grace this poem. Sometimes, we just don't find what we are looking for in the wonderful cache of photos and art from the FanArt site. That is the way it goes sometimes. Often, I spend far more time looking for an accompanying graphic than I do on the entire write of the poem. I found your poem instriational. The coming of May with her pretty bouquets is such a wonderful time of year. Rose.

Very good, it reminds me of when I was a child making daisy chains in the garden with my sister, now my fingers would be to big and clumsy to poke the stems together.
A May day celebration, well done beautiful, another fine piece.
Thanks for the pleasure Rudywalsh.

Hip hip hurrah it's May. The most beautiful time of year, just like your poem here. For me the start of may brings tears to my eyes, due to the pollen. I love this poem and the last line with the maypole.
