hi there, A powerful poem that describes how a man deals with his issues in his work and solitude. Well written and structured. Vicki

This poem is very poignant. The imagery of the cowboy's life draws the reader in from the beginning. Very nice. Notes: Line 2: "laid"; Line 3: "that's"; Line 8: "cowboy's"; Line 9: "feeds"; Line 11: "that were down"; Line 13: "Life's"
Blessings,
Jane

This is a great story poem which tell us about country life. It shows also a strong character, the cowboy.
His aparently simple thougth has a great significance to survival.
Congratulations!

deepwater,

You told your story of the cowboy and how he connects to the land so differently than his wife very well. One could feel the ups and downs. Great job!

A well written story written in verse, though rather sad.found the rhyming was a little uneven but the reading flowed quite easily. the colouring and art work added nicely to the over all work.

Wonderful interplay between this man's work ethic and his worries. Very down to earth images and great character development of this cowboy. I liked it very much. Midge

This is quite an interesting take on the working cowboys life. I relate to it well having lived on a working ranch for many years myself. I'm not sure I agree with all your philosophy... a cowboy's life is not necessary lonely even though he may spend a lot of hours alone for he is usually very much at home on the range and wouldn't have it any other way. You did a great job, though, of painting a word picture of many parts of it.
Cheers, W ^-^

I think that this was a very good poem with a nice flow and interesting tale. You have some errors, mainly dealing with possesive form but nothing glaring. Well done.

Great job on this one as usual. I enjoyed this entire poem and it was well written from start to finish. Although the entire piece was wonderful the lines I pasted below were extra special to me. Often times when stress and life's bumps in the road are especially rough I rely on this portion of the poem to help me through the situation.
Keep up the great writing...Tim

He rides and thinks back over, the days of sweat and forlorn,

Knowing, Coffee and friends are waiting to help him through this storm
