Judy this works very well. It is inspirational as well as it reveals scripture to your readers. It doesn't preach. It has a great flow. No excess words, it keeps directly on the scripture referred to, which can be challenging. I like the inclusion of the personal story. Well done. JudithMarie

No - we haven't seen anything yet. And I am eagerly waiting for the final grand conclusion to this great friendship.
This was a good story with a great analogy. Very well written. Great Job.

What a great idea Judy! And what an easy way to witness as well. Not only are you taking away from your daily bible studies, but the rest of us are as well. Also, I think it's a great way to help God's Word sink in. It helps to make it even more memorable!
And I enjoyed reading the personal story you shared.

Thanks, Christina. I am thinking about putting this in book fashion here on FanStory. I have two of them out there now. Thanks for the encouragment. I am trying to do one per week/day. -Judy

This devotional does an excellent job of connecting a personal experience to a Biblical story - there is nothing forced about the connection you draw; in fact, it is most thoughtful. I like the fact that you don't draw this out - a daily devotional should make a strong point without being long-winded, and you do that extremely well. Brooke

You created an interesting parallel in relation to not always realising that we have just met a real friend.
Yes, we do have to hear what the other person is saying before we decide whether or not we want them as a friend.
As you point out a similarity of circumstances can create that link.
The short story/devotional is simple, succinct and striking.

This is a nice thought and devotion on Nathanael and his spiritual insight to follow Jesus. Just like people, sometimes it takes time to want to get to know Jesus and accept his love. Nice little devotion to make one ponder. Love, Jean

Judy, I always enjoy your work, and I'm very impressed with your new style. I think you will invite a lot of people to hear the good news and perhaps off an invitation for His guidance. Bravo!

Hi Judy,
This is a very nice piece of devotional based on that passage from John. I like the idea and I have been wanting to do something like this too. My friend Kingskid has been doing chapters from Psalms too. Good job.

I enjoyed reading this. I think it is a great idea to give modern-day examples of Biblical passages. You made the story come alive.

Very fun to try something new. I think you did a nice job writing this devotional. New to me too, as I am not too familiar with the way those are written, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading yours. Loved your sweet descriptions! Good luck on your new journey with writing ;) Dana
