Howdy Mr. Deepwater,

I like yer style. I found nothing unenjoyable about your post but I think it was the eighth or ninth line where you mentioned God but didn't use a capital H with him. Personally, that sort of thing isn't a hitch for me, but since you did use the proper, cap H in the rest of the body of the post, I could only assume you'd want to know you missed one. I would.

Good post~

deepwater,

He leaves for the battlefield knowing full well that a field of stone may be the place where he goes to eternal rest with his name carved on one of the stones perhaps.

Its a new way of addressing the graveyard. But the one dying is calm, having faith in the almighty but worries for his kith and kin. well brought out, deepwater.

This was a poem about a graveyard as far as I could ascertain by its poetic verve. I liked the way you wrote this piece of poetic art. It was just a pleasure to have read and written a review for... John

A touching and sincere tribute to those who gave their lives for our country. To most of us, just names on a wall at the cementary. To others, fathers, sons, husbands. We should never forget the people they were.

This is truly a powerful write. 'Fields of stone'...where so many have been and have returned and where many have left their loyalties, their broken bodies sent home to grieving loved ones. I cannot begin to express my admiration for those who give their all and sometimes pay the ultimate price protecting what is right. Thank you so much for sharing this poignant piece. geo
