What a perfect free verse poem with so many thoughts to ponder upon especially this line--
Can we stand hand in hand at peace with the understanding of time in this moonlight?
I found this quote and I hope it fits your poem--
Keep love in your heart. A life without it is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead. The consciousness of loving and being loved brings a warmth and richness to life that nothing else can bring.

Hi deepwater,
I found this quite moving in its hope/despair/hope message. Nicely constructed and an interesting form it has a good rhythm to it and carries your message well.

Your title caught my eye because I wrote a song called "Winds of Change". You have expressed a lot of emotion with beautifully descriptive words and the writing just flows so well. Good material, it's funny how things can change over time. I really enjoyed reading this.

I think it would be proper to capitalize the D in do I dare. Other than that it is filled with emotion. Your language choices are excellent. Great Writing. joan marie

I loved this and thought that the picture you chose as a companion for the text was great as well.

Goodness! What a wonderful portrayal of loves first steps. Do I hand my heart to this person? Will they care for it? I was right there, in that moment in my own life. Thank you for reminding me of some wonderful forgotten moments.
