Rispetto huh? I like it. I said that you were prolific, and you've proved it again. Your poem is simple beauty like the daisy itself.

Thank you, Ragnar - the beauty of the rispetto form is that while it has structure, it isn't overbearing. Brooke :-)

A beautiful tribute to the beauty of a simple clump of daisies. The sun has the ability to bring billions of smiles to people yet you are content with the fact that these daisies are able to make you smile. I think you are trying to say to be happy with the small things in life. Also, if you can make one person smile and be happy, then that is a great achievement. Not everything or everyone is able to achieve greatness (like the Sun) but we can each achieve something in our own right. Beautiful and wise wrds.

Thank you, Kristene :-) Your comments are most insightful and your review most generous - I'm smiling and there isn't a sunbeam or daisy in sight :-) brooke

A nice sunshine-y poem for my dreary, wet Alabama day. I can definitely use the reminder of the golden sun and daisies. Thanks! :)
I enjoy the idea of the sun spraying our planet with a billion smiles. Those smiles could be the the smiles on our faces or the smiling faces of the daisies' upturned faces or the smiles on our faces when we see those daisies (as you noted in the last lines).
My favorite parts are the "light that bright can't help but spray" and the "grandeur of this gold orb's feat", simply because they sound so happy and cheerful.
Such a happy yet thoughtful poem! THanks for bringing a smile to MY face! LK

It's the second dreary, wet day in a row in PA with yet a third one predicted - I'm ready for more sun and daisies :-) I'm so glad you enjoyed the good cheer :-) Thanks, Laura Brooke

Before the moon affects a smile
and lights the night alight,
the sun must blindfold for a while
and mute a little might.
SO when the darkness comes your way
and leads the dance in all its sway
then grab your partner by the hand
and dance the waltz of woman and man!

Thank you, Mike - this is a late hour for you, way past lunchtime. LOL What a lovely poetic response to my poem :-) Brooke

All afternoon spent unexpectedly in Accident and Emergency with my better half has thrown my schedule off somewhat :-/. She's okay, thankfully, but I'm a tad behind on my reviews as a result!

Well, I'm certainly glad to hear she is okay :-)

Thank you; it's nothing a small stack of painkillers can't see her through :-)

I can just see you joking about her pain and her giving you a good wallop upside your head. LOL

Your springtime poetry is indeed "springtime." I'm not sure that sentence makes any sense, but what I mean is: I felt the sun shine, heard the breeze whisper and smelled the flowers when I read your poem. Excellent. ann

Dear Brooke,
A charming little foray into whimsy and, as an engineer, I can tell you your maths is absolutely perfect (for poetic purposes) :<)

The field in front of us has many flowers just like this and I poised my dogs among them and took pictures. It was so refreshing to have that piece of nature so striking. I enjoyed how you brought together the picture and the words to brighten up yet another day.

And a smile you'll find on this reader's lips as I come to the end of your rispetto, a form I've never written but I sure do appreciate now, thanks to you. These are always such happy flowers--thanks for reminding me to be grateful. :)

A bright and warming
poem that shines like
the gold you speak. It
lightens the heart when
one thinks of the daisies
you captured so completely.
no nits or spags. Lora

Thank you so much, draconianmaster :-) I like the rispetto because while it is structured, it is not complex and overbearing as a from. You are most generous and I'm most appreciative :-) Brooke
