How lovely this message is! If only the human race would take note of your wonderfully crafted words. This is such a feel good piece, and it has great flow, meter, and rhyme. Thanks for bringing some pleasant thoughts to my mind!

I enjoyed reading your little story/poem very much Brooke. It was a simple story line, straightforward, uncomplicated, and just plain delightful! Such a stunning photo provided just the right juxtaposition with the poem. The rhyming was perfect and the dialogue between the ladybug and the butterfly amusing. The hidden message of applying the same stance to humans was not lost on me. We could all benefit from coming down a peg or two! Thank you. Frances

Hi, Brooke! I like the idea of different species (and races) living in harmony--and also the idea that sometimes we should just accept and enjoy what comes our way. Great job--as always! Mary

What a beautiful poem. Tomorrow I'll read that to my grand daughter, she will love it.
You write with such a melodic rhythm. Your poetry always captures the reader and you are deserving of the top ranking.

Mmmm, what a nice story of two interesting creatures sharing a leaf. Written in a conversational styles, this makes a lovely story which flows so nicely. (Sorry to ask again: artwork first, poem later?).

Thank you, Belinda - first, I was in the mood to write about a ladybug, so I searched the ladybug pictures. When I found this picture, that shaped the rest of the story :-) Brooke

What a lovely lesson in understanding. What we think we know and truth are often surprisingly different. This is a simple, elegant write - not unlike Aesop's fables. Excellent, Brooke. Blessings, Linda

My two favorite signs of spring besides flowers are these two. What a sweet poem. I can even see such a poem in the form of a children's book. Ever think of writing a rhyming kids' book, my friend?

Thank you. Yes, I have thought of it - too bad I'm not also an artist or I would so be into being a children's author. :-) Brooke

Ahhhh! No, no, no! That is what everyone thinks! Artists are hired by the publishers. Trust me. I went to art school with the hopes of becoming an illustrator and then when I wanted to write kids' books, I learned that is not how it usually works. Go to the library and get the book called "How to Write and Illustrate Children's Books and Get them Published." :) It's written for both writers and illustrators and easy to understand. You have to write children's books!!!! (See how excited I am about it?) LOL!
