This is an excellent contemplative triolet. It is perfect in format and its idea is inspiring. The artwork by Photon enhances your message. It is clear that time has come not only for the character in the photo but for every person that just sits and looks to get engaged. But the question is "engaged in what". There are lots of noble causes on this earth but in my opinion to strengthen the message of your poem it might be helpful to more specifically express or relate to engagement.

The art work is great, and the words tell us what is happening within this picture.

I really liked reading these words very much, and the art work is very telling.

Honeytree.

Nice reminds me of being at school this one lol
It could be anyone just sitting there!
It's so true we will never achieve anything by just sitting there. I like it! :-)

Hey pearl. I love the message that you put in this poem which I believe is that if you just sit down in your comfort location whether that be in a chair or in your bed just get up and get inspired. That's a great message.

Very good, Brooke.
I enjoyed this one.
Very smooth and so very true for so many people.
It speaks to many of us.
Making it personal is the trick.

You told a story within the scheme of a triolet. The first few lines brought a smile then I realized there must be more to "just sitting there." The shift in emotions was powerful here as I read. What I assumed was not correct. A lot going on here within few words. I enjoyed reading and reviewing. Well done. Thank you. JudithMarie

Yes you - got the slight change for emphasis - and it pays off - very effective type of verse with the line repetition so deceptively carried out - message - get up and get on with life - but surely some quiet time is necessary for meditation? Once more a delight in showing off your multi- faceted talent to your readers benefit - well done again.

Thanks, Brad - of course quiet time is necessary for meditation - this poem is not directed at folks who relax once in a while. It is directed at people who do lots of complaining without ever getting involved in making this a better place. Brooke :-)

Wow, Brooke, your poetry offer so much wisdom. Just sitting around does not take you far in life. We can't expect things to land at our door, we must go after what we want in life.

In its brevity, your poem brings that message to life.

Always a pleasure reading your work, Brooke. I gain insight.

Have a great weekend.

Who me? Naw...
But then again, this one did make me squirm in my chair, just a little. You aer so right - the best way to fix the situation is to get up and do something. Think I'll go and raid the frige.
