I love how you've conveyed the speed of the action and so concisely. then it eases off towards the end as if to illustrate the pace of the flutterby's
And i like your knowledge on the actual speeds of them. In England that dragonfly could quite possible receive a speeding ticket in a 30 zone if it didn't adhere to the speed limit. The consequences of a £60 fine and three points on his license might make him reconsider his juvenile ways!
Kind regards
Grim

Comment from --Turtle.
I read this shadorma, its nice to be exposed to different poem styles without feeling an inner resistance (though for me sometimes that's like new foods. ... Here, Turtle, take a bite of this shadorma ... No. I don't wanna. ... but you'll like it. shadorma doesn't sound tasty.) but they were.
I feel smarter for reading this, thanks for the authors note info too, as I love dragonfly's and it seemed like I was zipping right by the butterfly with him in this poem.

I love these shadormas you have been writing. They are fun and clever. I love dragon flies and butterflies. I had no idea a dragonfly flew 38 miles per hour-wow! Or a butterfly at 12 miles an hour, Thanks for the fun facts too. I am interested in this form-very cool. Dana

Brooke:
I fell in love with the
dragonfly when I was a kid
on the farm. He was second
only to the firefly (because
she could light up the dark).
this shadorma format is
beginning to really intrigue
me; however, I have a lot of
reviewing to do before posting,
understand? love, jan

Of course I understand, Jan - it takes lots of reviewing to be able to promote. Thanks so much for your lovely review - fireflies have always been my favorite :-) Brooke

Kind of like the tortoise and the hare,
in the insect world. Your word choices are
great - lickety-split, flit, zips, and
"lazy, laid-back flutters" each aptly
presenting the particular actions of the specified
insect. Love these springtime poems! Carolyn

You are just full of humor and whimsey today -- or maybe I'm just finding those today. At any rate, they are a definite upper to an otherwise rather drab morning. Thanks. ann

Hi, Brook, I thought this an excellent shadorma that you have written. It goes nicely with the other you have written. This struck me as being a very clever use of words which roll off the tongue with ease.
Wonderful flow and rhyme.
Best wishes,
Malcolm
