Hi brooke,
I've gotten far behind in reading your poems, and after a pause I come back and think, I like these. The flow and Rhymes are pleasing, and as I read I could see the big fat golden sparkles that hypnotize me when I walk or shovel in the moonlight or sunlight thinking Yeah... who put those there. The rest of the read took me to the life of the forest. Nice poem.

They say there are no stupid questions other than the ones that are never asked. Well, I refuse to believe that your life has been so sheltered that you don't know the story of Jack Frost. Sheesh! I would think in your vast library of knowledge you would have a copy. Then you could ask, why hast global warming dumped so much sparkling snow in my driveway this year?? The poem was terrific, but my snow is turning into yucky black from the cars. Mike

Brooke a lovely quatern questioning who put the sparkle in the snow. The words flow off the page freely, making the reader think about this question.
Great rhythm and rhyme, and overall an excellent poem.

I am not knowlegdeable with this type of poem but I really enjoyed it. We all need that sparkle in our lives and you did a great job putting a sparkle on my face as I read it.

That would be me.
Very beautiful imagery of nature transitioning from winter to spring under the guidance of a higher power.
I liked this line, particularly: "who flicks the switch that dims the glow?"

What a great way to spend the evening, Brooke, with a laptop filled with your musings. Excellent choices -- especially for the repeating line -- and another gently toned look at the snowy season. D

A very beautiful poem that asks an interesting question that if easy to answer if you're a Christian. I wonder if non-Christians would really see through the question. There's no way to answer it, without an understand of God's creation.

Thank you, Barbara. I think there are many religions other than Christians who believe in God as creator. :-) Brooke
