Have you heard Him? Sometimes I wish He would take the thunder approach -- might make it easier on those of us who are sometimes a bit spiritually deaf!! (That'd be me.) I usually find Him in the scriptures and in prayer. I know that's a pretty traditional place, but I figure it's standard because it's worked for so long.
Keep your heart open, and blessings, Deb

I think your author's notes are marvelous as well as the poem. As a child, I always wondered when God would talk to me. I truly expected to be able to hear him. Your wrote the quizzical part wonderfully. Thanks for sharing.

This was an excellent poem. I like how it flowed when I read it and that it rhymed very well too. Great job! Keep up the good work!

This work has reached the exceptional level

You get six stars for this one, Deb. I can see this poem in a picture book for children. It is written extremely well and portays perfectly a child's desire to hear God, and exactly the right counsel from mommy. I wish I wrote this one. Great job! Dusty

Dusty, your review was so touching. Thank you. I've been writing other people's copy for so long that I was afraid I'd stopped hearing, myself. Be blessed, and know you were a wonderful encouragement. Deb

Deb, this is wonderful (please check your dictionary for the spelling of desert... I am not sure myself)
What a marvellous lesson for children. I love it. Pat.

Thank you Pat. A hot dry place (desert) is one 's', a wonderful sweet dish after dinner is 2 's's'. (How do you notate 2 s's?) I had a teacher tell me once that we can remember because we'd always rather have more desserts (more s's) than deserts. I know I would!
Thanks agian. It came together so quickly, and I've been so, so busy with freelance stuff for money, that I wasn't sure I wasn't just WANTING it to be good. It's wonderful to create instead of just write for cash. I don't think I knew what I was getting into!

    Blessings, Deb

Don't know about that, but these projects are certainly making my HEAD go around!!! :) Too much in too short a period of time. I guess I didn't think I'd get all the bids that I did. I was almost glad to lose a job last night, although I would have loved the work. Just don't know when I would've done it! :) D

Just try to remember that DEB is in there, somewhere... Deb has family and friends... Don't fit your blinkers on too tightly or you will neglect a large part of what makes YOU the person you are! Don't answer this, you're too busy. Pat. xxx
