I really like the thought of echoing the beauty you've been told. A lovely vision.
I listen, I tarry, I hearken -- words of the wise.
Beautifully flowing verses. This sounds like lyrics to a cheerful song.
Isn't it neat what inspires us to write? A simple book title begets a masterpiece. ;)
I enjoyed your poem.

This is a very nice poem and set of rhyming quatrains (had to add the word rhyming, in case you didn't realize you had given us a rhyming poem LOL!). I like the words you use that make a kind of progression in each quatrain, such as progression - streamlets to rivers, lyrics to refrain, hear to echo. It's wonderful to find an answer to a question I had and have it turn out we were both right. It can be hearken or harken. I also like the idea of secrets in this poem because by echoing them, they are secrets that are allowed to be told. Wonderful work my friend!

A lyrical poem that is beautifully
constructed in words that tell a
story of the power of listening
and learning through the power of
the spoken or written word.
Another one of your beautifully
orchestrated masterpieces.
Well done

oh what a beautiful poem....and what ears you have, and what words you find in your good heart...but you are too humble, for it is not in a poor way you echo the divine...
you have richly gifted us, your readers....

I like the metaphor of poetry to nature. Nature and for that matter human nature can be bountiful muses. When you think about it what else is there. Well God and the heavens but I was speaking strictly earthly. See what happens when you lose a pet. You become so profound you almost sound dumb. LOL
I like this poem and I will now pay more attention to the sights and sounds around me.

Thank you, Tony :-) I am so sorry about your dog and how his loss has affected you, and now I understand Boston may finally be getting more snow than we are. Brooke :-)

Quite nice. To form a poem from the title of a cd, is quite an achievement. It is flowing and smooth, with a melody to the rhyme. I enjoyed the music within the words. Thanks for a wonderful post. Mike
