Wow. Some may scoff that Battle field epiphanies have an ephemeral quality about them, but this has a lot of impact. Better to voice one's regrets while one still can though.

'Letter from a Distant Battlefield' is touching and finely presented with the soldier's picture. The feelings seem real and far from pretentious as with many such love-you poems.
