Hello Brooke dear. I am still catching up.
Excellent cinquain style wisdom delivered in succinct yet impacting words.

LOVE the rhyming and the word choice in this fine phrase

our wisest thoughts are seldom reaped
in haste.

And great picture too. Made me laugh.

Lots of Love,
rd

hello adewpearl,

oh, how i wish that i had an available six star to award you. this cinquain poem is excellent. good count, good imagery, and thought-provoking.

this poem reads and flows well land i have no suggestion for improvement. i particularly liked the following:

our wisest thoughts are seldom reaped
in haste.

this should have been a contest entry.

regards, LateBloomer

This is a wonderful poem you wrote adewpearl. Nothing was wrong with anything or any part of the poem. My favorite line is

our wisest thoughts are seldom reaped.
That is a fantastic line.

Simply a delightful read. The straightforward message was delivered in a very flowing, Zen-like presentation. You obviously met the criteria of the cinquain and the title was intriguing enough to engage the reader.

You got that right, Brooke. It's such a hurry-up, drive-through world that we never take enough time in our day to let so many of the good things get a chance to sink in. Excellent.

Karyn, thank you - yeah, nowadays with multi-tasking, people are not only in a hurry but in a hurry doing 5 things at once. Brooke :-)

Now there's a combination not sought after by the masses. Tortois Tea. I wonder if Earl Grey has that in the varied list of teas? I don't think the local grocery carries that flavor. And as for wisest thoughts, since haste makes waste, I fear most of my thoughts go for naught, for many are made in haste. Another food for thought poem. We shall all ponder it for the moment before we hastily move on to our next review. Mike

I actually prefer peppermint or raspberry tea, but the tortoise made for a far cuter picture :-) Thanks, Mike! Brooke

I feel as if you were speaking directly to me with this piece, for I'm often guilty of not thinking things through. Very powerful message in so few words. Always a treat for me when you share your wisdom. Thanks, Marshall
