Another excellent chapter in this terrific adventure, mystery novel, Gayle. I'm enthralled with the way you've presented the workings of a multiple personality. Of course, you know I am fascinated by the Stockholm Syndrome with all its ramifications. :D

I don't know how I keep missing chapters, but I think I'm up to speed again.

Hugs,
Renie

    Hey Renie,

I am, too, and really hoped to expand on that while Cathy was in the cabin but it just didn't turn out that way. I don't write my books, they write themselves and often, there I am, slackjawed and trying to figure out how I got here. Kinda like poor Norman!!

Thanks so much for the great comments,

Gayle,

Forgive my late review, but I've been watching football. What do you think of the Jets?

Norman is still deluded, but at least, the voice in his head is talking sense. I don't think he's schizophrenic, although he is sorta insane.

I enjoyed this read and couldn't find anything to criticize.

Dave

    Hi Dave,

Hmmm, I loved them when Broadway Joe was throwing. Then I moved to Seattle and just loved Jim Zorn and the Seahawks. Been ages since I've watched a game.

Norman has DID,so depending on who you get, lol, they could be crazy or not!

Thanks for the great review, Dave,

    Hugs

Norman's delusion has led him to believe that Cathy loves him. He doesn't understand why she cries. I can't help but feel a small part of him realizes she doesn't love him.

Norman lives in denial. Actually, it's part of his being Nathan's alter ego. Remember, Nathan really likes Cathy, too, but only in a normal way, admiring her work. Norman takes it to another level!

    Thanks,

My last review called him Nathan. My apologies, it's Norman and this man isn't in touch with reality, is he? He's pure fright. I'm quite concerned for Kathy. Your'e still keeping my interests on the high end of the scale and now to the next chapter.

No problem with the confusion. Nathan's in there, somewhere! Glad you're enjoying and thanks for the great review!

What a write, Gayle. I feel flat, still... obviously, I am identifying with Cathy. All that time doped up, she should, perhaps, have been even stiffer? Pat.

    Hi Pat,

Poor Cathy! It's going to take her some time to unfold.

Wonderful. Well built. Easy to follow. I don't mind the shorter chapter, as it allows me to concentrate more on the writing.

This time that job was easy. No notes.

Thanks!

Norman can be soooo boring! :;)

and was informed that the front door opened with a combination lock as follows: 32,r,5,l, 43r.

Sure about those commas? "32R-5L-43R" might be what you just said, but that's just a guess.

More than pleasantly surprised, he glanced around.
The furniture looked comfortable, the huge plasma screen TV was a
pleasant surprise

repetitious - on purpose?

    Hey Joel,

I'll change the way the combination looks; I like yours better.

No purpose, just lazy! Will fix. Thanks for the great ideas and the review,

Another twist here to keep us on edge. The cabin might be a little difficult, but if Jim and Lenny can run his credit cards, they should be fairly easy to locate. Very well done.

Great chapter. You are doing a marvelous job teasing the reader with Norman's insane behavior. I liked your reference to the Stockholm Syndrome and its implication. You convey Cathy's fear and apprehension very well. I find Norman a very frightening character. The duel personalities that are not in synch with each other is quite frightening. Great job. I anxiously look forward to the next chapter.

    Hi Sasha,

I'm surprised to see you here in your 'time of need' as it were! LOL, Feb. is coming soon!

We're going to see some strange goings on between Cathy and Norman here. And of course, now you're going to meet the star of the canine contingent, at least she thinks so! Fun, fun!

    Thanks for the great review

Very good. It's amazing Norman doesn't realize you can't force someone to return your love. I know he has issues, of course, he does, he kidnaped this lady. You have written a wonderful chapter.
