A bit of magic sparkling in your words. The stuff of dreams and folk tales. The artwork pictures a winter wonderland -- perfect for your words.

This is a very good poem. I like the way it read, it had a tongue twisting turn to it. Good job. I love the fairies and pixie things.

Nice to see you in whimsical mood, Brooke. This is a fetching piece, good use of the form, light and lyrical. As a fairy poem should be. Love that you got to use 'celebrants', and love the positive view of the current bad weather.

This is always where you shine Brooke. I have a problem though. I sprinkled fairy dust on the pic and still don't see any fairies! :( Got any other suggestions? LOL. Thanks for sharing my friend... Jack xoxox

Jack, another reader had the same problem - either your fairy dust has expired or you bought it from a scam artist and not a certified fairy dust dealer. I'd look into that if I were you :-) Thanks, my friend. Brooke :-)

Bright music for their winter games
finds harmony in winds that blow,
and so these celebrants acclaim
this time of crystal ice and snow.
You amaze me with your vivid imagination and fantastic selection of words that weave magic around me transporting me to a realm of fantasy.great write.

When poetry can lift me high
on wings of verbs and verses twee
the fairies truly cannot lie
they bring the gift of light to me
on wings of verbs and verses twee
with diction lent from heaven's vault
and pleasure perched upon my knee
they sing their songs without a fault.
The fairies truly cannot lie
and so they trill with melody
made blissful by a song sublime
and circle me with words so free
they bring the gift of light to me
and all the corners they can find
so full of cobwebs I can't see
that shadow corners of my mind.
Mike
PS: *great big grin!*

This is an alliterative masterpiece, and it doesn't hurt that I fantasize fairy realms reality for the sheer pleasure of the 'what if'--great imagery here, what a wonderful imagined celebration! :)

I can see the fairies! LOL
Well, we all inspire each other don't we? I've only written two (I think) fairy poems - one just last night, and I always think of your lovely fairy masterpieces as inspiration.
This form has a pleasant rhythm and your words have painted a nice mental image. I can imagine the little pixies dancing around the fire as the puckish (LOVE that word!) plucker picks a tune. :)
Sweet poem.
I love the alliteration!
I'm wearing a big puckish smile.
I've got a new nickname for you -- Pixie Pearl. :) Hey, sounds like a cool character for a poem! LOL

Hi Brooke,
You may not have tried this before, but it works very well in your skilled hand/pen/keyboard. It comes across as a fun bit of fantasy. Nice work.
