Hello adewpearl,
I read this poem and enjoyed it. I liked the scheme, it flowed nice with a mixture of rhyming and then other things that made the lines feel safe, like I wasn't lost or wondering where I was. The story part of the poem has a bitter sweet... warm hushing, yet foreshadow of the future that I liked.
I enjoyed this.

This is so beautiful. Filled with truth and light. The great story. I watched a nativity movie the other day and it was so real. Your poem reminded me of it. The imagery is great. "To bring new hope to those forlorn." sounds like my salvation experience. Thanks for sharing this.

What a lovely form, almost forms a lullabye, for our Savior.
I enjoyed every well crafted line. Your words resonated. There are no suggestions for improvement, as this was very well done.
Good luck in the contest.

You are wonderful at expressing wonder, Brooke. I like that, instead of insistently proclaiming faith, you express what leads to it. That may not sound like an obvious comment regarding this particular poem, but I believe it is an excellent example of what I mean. Good wishes and a smile from across the globe :-).

Adewpearl - Your poem is beautiful. You tell the story very nicely about Jesus being born and the things that will be expected of Him as He grows. Everything about it is wonderful written. Kat

Truly beautiful and ringing with truth in one's soul. Reading it touched a deep place in my soul.
I am not that poetically literate and not too familiar with different poetic forms, but I loved your rhymes and word choices.
