Hi Teri,
Good point and well made, he is the reason for the season - Santa Claus or St Nicholas has his own day - the 6th December in fact. We would have a celebration though as the Mid Winter Solstice was chosen as the date of remembering Christ's birth since it is a festival of renewal and rebirth.

Teri - I agree with you wholeheartedly. JESUS is the true meaning of Christmas although in past years it has become so commercialized that the LORD and SAVIOR is all but forgotten. They even want us to quit saying Merry Christmas and instead call it Happy Holidays. I wish you the best in the contest. Kat

I liked it, i like the reason for the season, but to me it just felt a little bland. It felt like an answer to a question and not so much poetry. You are obviously quite talented, but this didn't do much for me.
