Mike, this poem has some beautiful descriptive detail. The flow in your quatrains is smooth and the rhyming couplets are strong. You also create a good contemplative mood. This is one of your stronger poems that I've read :-) Brooke

I really enjoyed this review and thank you for it and your compliments. I fear I was known for a younger age for being contemplative, but with the writing, it breeds appreciation as my goal is to be contemplative, for those that I write for. Have a great week ahead, Mike.

Hello Mike. I'm a big fan of winter and think of autumn as one last gift for my eyes before the snows come and decorate the land with sparkling crystals. I like the picture you found..a little of both seasons makes it a stunning addition to your poem. Nicely written poem.

I know so many people that get cynical and lose hope and the importance of this poem is to keep an element of childlike wonderment in one's life. There's not too much more to pass on to the young one's. That wonderment was one of the rare things when I was young that was encouraged not to give it up, but much older people who have had a harder life then mine to give up. It balanced the perceptions that my father had. I thank you so very much for compliments and this review. Mike

I loved it --- seems the Fall season sparks so many contemplative moods in writers, me included. The title again, has me at odds, tho --- Autumn's or Autumn Signals Leave? XO Lea Ann

I will change it to Autumn's. I wanted this poem to be about the importance of one's outlook. I thank you very much for your compliments, concerns? LOL and this review. Mike

This one mixed and matched a bit too much for me Mike. The first two lines of verse one were so charming, and then the next two, were quite bleak. The second verse was abysmal, which is fine IF that was the general theme, but then the third verse is a beauty, with the remainder of the piece following suit and making sense. I think, if it were my piece, I'd pull the upsetting lines and create another poem on the darker side of things, and then go back and fill in those six lost lines, with the beauty that's carried through the rest of the piece. Just a thought. Sorry. I do understand what you were trying to do, but it just didn't convey right somehow.

The whole point of the poem is to illuste that it is very much how you look at life. Many people love Autumn and hate winter, some people are never happy and usually the cultrate is their attitude. We all get like that, but most can always find something nice to say. Since this is for a publication, I will take another look to see if I can end it a bit better. That's why I read all of my reviews and don't look at the stars often. I do appreciate you comments and thank you for them.

Nice image for this piece.
The line 'natures kaleidscopic art for one's gaze',
brilliant, absolutely brilliant.
Well done, I wish you well.

I consider this peom to be a foot on both sides. As a kid, I spent hours admiring the frost on pains of glass in different light and I wanted to translate that to life's outlook. I thank you very much for both the compliments and this review. Mike

This is a truly art my friend. I like the way you work up the words, the rhyming and the rhyme. The images you paint are so real like stretching my hands and touch the icy frost.

A review like this is very special and having been thinking of the imagery for a while, I really appreciate you compliments. I thank you for both. This piece is designed for a submission, but I always have to test it out first here. Mike

The closing lines sum up the idea portrayed in the poem. I loved the picture and the background is tantalizing. The diction is apt and wonderful. All the best.

It was a bit difficult to choose the artwork as I sort of wanted a foot in both the positive and negative view of things.

Autumn wasn't very much here this year, being mostly gray, chilly and wet. I also have my own moods and wanted a nice piece that shows, life is what you make of it, as it too has its cycles.

I thank you very much for your compliments and this review. Mike
