Beautiful. I love the repeated line,
Peace sparkled from a brilliant star.
Just wonderful!
The message of hope comes through in this
piece. The artwork you've chosen works
nicely too. Lovely job!

Where's the history lesson in this aged old Christmas tale. Where are the wise men with gifts of fine gold and assorted necessities and riches that would help raise this child that would one day be King of Kings and rule all nations. Where is this Prince of peace a gift to young and old this coming day the birth of Christ? Nice poem, I just needed some filler so it wouldn't get rejected. Mike

Thanks, Mike - I hate to get rejected by the reviewing fairy - I know what you mean :-) Brooke

Yeah, I've been rejected by fairies before too, and it's never pretty. No one wants to see a grown man cry when he has to write his review all over again and still doesn't have anything much to say. It's like pulling brambles off your pants. You have to do it, but you get pricked. Mike

What a lovely poem for Christmas, which I can hardly believe is almost upon us. I really like that line, "peace sparkled from a brilliant star".....that is beautiful. And I love the artwork that you chose, it's perfect.

If we're going to be technical, an angel led the shepherds to the Child, a star led the Magi. If we're going to be technical-techical, 'star' is often used in Biblical writings to mean 'angel', so ...
It is a beautiful poem. I especially like 'warmth a cold night could not mar.' Beautiful image of something we've all felt -- a cold night and something far more important that the temperature. Blessings, Deb
