This is a lovely poem to an obviously lovely person. It is well written and reads nicely. I like the words, "A cherished confidant I found in thee." That is what a good relationship is about.

I like this poem. It is so refreshing to hear of someone being empathic and chivalrous in this age when chivalry is dead. Call me old fashioned but I love the idea of old fashioned courtesy and plain good manners.

"in our souls devotion will abide" is probably the most powerful line in a very emotionally charged poem. There is no greater gift, the heart and soul given freely and forever. You have a real gift for this style of poetry.
