Again, beautifully stated. Like you, I like this form and will want to try it soon. I do have one technical question for you: do you write the poem and then find an image to accompany it, or use an image to inspire the lines? Many thanks to you and Sally (whose poetry I will explore next!) for bringing this incipient, enticing form.

Thank you, my friend. I do both - a large majority of the time I write first and then search for an illustration, but more than once I've browsed the art at Fan Art for inspiration. Have fun exploring this form :-) I just wrote another poem using it today! Brooke :-)

Dear Brooke,

Perfect rhyme and rhythmn in this interesting poem. I guess what you have said is Home will always be the place where dreams begin and end.

Warm regards,

Winslow

Oh yes, it does make a nice 'sound' doesn't it. This is beautiful ... but you also hold the magic of being an exceptional poet too. I like the original form, Sally has done a great job in creating something she could well be proud of. M.

You've done honor to the form. I'm sure Ms. Yocum will agree. Apologies of course to Thomas Wolfe. You showed that you Can go home again!

Awesome message told in this wonderful new style of poetry created by one of the wonderful writers on this site. Look forward to reading more soon and maybe trying the style myself.

I love the sound of this new style. It has a good rhythm and rhyme scheme. I love the measage in the poem as well. I've heard people say they spent the first 20 years of their life trying to get away from home and the next 40 trying to get back.

Hello, Brooke. So sorry it's taken me this long to read your work. I've not been well (again).

You are right, this is a lovely form and you ahve really done it justice with this poem. Absolutely faultless, great flow and rhyme and of course, the warm and hopeful message - there's no place like home.

Hugs and warmest wishes
Kat

Another wonderful poem from Fanstory's in-house poet laureate. You put so much wisdom in your words and images that one feels contentment after reading the lines. Wonderful words, Brooke.

I was exchanging wildlife photos with a new friend where I live and said all I have to do is go outside to my backyard and there is a wealth of treasure to be found. This is how your poem made me feel. Look right under my nose and I will be amazed at what I find. joan marie

I spotted a Roseate Spoonbill, a young one, yesterday. Got some photos be having a hard time getting them on my computer. They are so beautiful. jm

I am getting a better camera at Christmas. When he flew away and the gorgeous pink of the feathers all showed I wanted a photo so bad. They are endangered or their migration routes are being destroyed. I report sightings. jm
