Thank you so much. Just tried something a bit different, and thought it worked reasonably well. But the readers are always the best judges, so thank you.

I liked your sequence about love and the clusters of definitions. I think you have covered just about all of the possibilities, and I especially enjoyed the last heartfelt lines.

I like the repetition, the items on your list, the flow, and the rhyming that ties together the verses - what a beautiful musing on the nature and meaning of love :-) Brooke

Thank you Brooke, for your review and very generous rating.
I tried to keep it simple, often love is thought of in such a complicated way.

I think you have love covered. All different things spell love you only have to pay attention.

A worthy entry in the contest, good luck at the voting.

best regards Miska

Hi Marijke, what a beautiful verse of love. Such a wonderful choice of words you have used to describe love.
I was just playing with my precious little cockatiel and he got his foot caught in the kitchen drawer. He flew on to his cage and I raced to see if he was ok. And the very thought of hurting him made me burst into tears. I realised just how much I really love the little delight. And then I read your poem. By the way, he appears to be ok just got a bruised foot. So love can come in many ways for many precious things in our lives. Thank you for writing such a lovely verse and have a happy day, smiles and hugs from Mel

You are love indeed. This poem had alot of sweetness to it. I loved how you narrowed down the very essence of the word. I found it to be simple yet heartwarming. Each line made me smile. Thanks for sharing, job well done.

You have an interesting start here. In general, the repetition works well here. However, some variety in at least one of the stanzas would improve the dramatic effect of the remaining stanzas. Best of luck with your love poem and keep up the good work.

Thank you for your review and rating, it is truly appreciated. I have just changed the last stanza, although no substantial enough to improve the dramatic effect.
