Thank you, Susan - it was the first time I did one of the word list contests since usually the list of words seems too unrelated to me. Brooke :-)

I'm sorry I missed this one earlier. Very well done as you already know. Very impressive to take on a challenge and then give a lesson in poetry along with it. Well done, Buck

Brooke,
This poem for the words are the same should have won, but it got second place. Your ottava rima poem "Moonlight Fantasy ' is exceptional. I like the lines:
'to find new worlds fantastic to explore,
and so escape what now imprisons me.
I smile when distant moon sends down her beams,'
Well done and full of great imagery. The art work is awesome too.
Melissa.

Nice job on this. Life can seem like an endless ocean at times. Right now is one of those times for me, but we have to keep hold of those dreams, they're the only guides that we have. ;)

Brooke... Nicely done. Hoping to catch up on my reviewing and you're making it easy with this beautiful poem. Such a beautiful presentation with one of the most mesmerizing pieces of artwork I have seen. Such wonderful creative use of the words called for in the protocol. The substance of this poem is endearing and reminded me of 'The Little Engine That Could.' Your talent is beyond superlatives. Michael.

I never would have thought this poem was written from a word list. Bravo! Well done.
A grain of sand, waiting to be swept to dreams by the ocean's current. Lovely imagery and metaphorical message.
I enjoyed this poem.
I think it will do very well in the contest. I'll be watching for it. :)

Thank you - I have always skipped the word list contests because the words had nothing to do with each other - turtle, lightbulb, existentialism, fruitcake... LOL Finally a list had some coherence to it :-) Thanks, Nic. Brooke

adewpearl,
Enjoyed reading this. It spoke to me. It wasn't until I re-read it and read your notes that I realized the parameters of this contest. I find it very difficult to incorporate given words. I admire what you've done here. It is a winner!! elaine

I have never done a word list contest before because usually the words on the list don't fit together in my mind, but this time they just sounded related to me. Thanks, Elaine. Brooke :-)

This poem is a nice entry into the contest and works in well the words that you were given to weave into poetry. Great job in a form that you work oh-so-well with. Rose.
