Great Cinquain, expressing what has to be done first before release comes, so well done with few words, it says so much, I really enjoyed!

You follow all the different styles of poetry writing so easily and excellently
This is one piece where I must say the the topic/content is the most basic piece of truth that there must be written
your depth of writing attaches to the reader and leaves an imprint that will stay with that person
Have a smiley day

Well isn't this just the neatest little proverb tied up with a bow? Love the rhyme, the didactic tone, the universal accessibility/application. Well done. :)

Hey brooke,

How very true! Ya can't offer peace to an enemy until you feel confident that enemy will no longer harm you, one way or the other.

Thanks for sharing this lovely poem with us!

smiles,

deb

This certainly applies to our political situation in today's world. An excellent choice of words to communicate the message & well crafted cinquain. Food for thought. I hesitate to suggest a change from someone less experienced but will stick my neck out---
would reversing the two words "first" & "must" make it read better?
