Brooke, I am not in the least surprised to see this poem won first place in the contest, it is absolutely brilliant. I cannot find any fault or anything which could improve it - simply perfect and very enjoyable to read.
Warmest wishes

Another beauty. Such wonderful flow. Great imagery, and cool photo.
I loved this:
there is no vow I would withhold
from thee.
Thank you again.
Have a magical day.

This reminds me of the song "I Drove All Night". Ahh, literal interpretations of the lengths we will go to in order to realise that mystical love that we all hope is within our reach, never understanding that it's something we unlock from within, then share... ;-)

hi brooke, a nice surprise to see you in this contest. i like the idea about building a connecting bridge between distant lovers. if i may comment, the picture doesn't look romantic though, but it's your words that matter. good luck!

Oh, I thought this the perfect picture - the photographer's angle really makes this bridge look as if it is crossing a huge sea :-) I'm so glad you like the poem, though - yes, it's a surprise because I write a love poem about once every half a year! LOL Thanks, Nora. Brooke

Devotion/love well portrayed.
that spans the sea
to cross vast seas to me,
Seas can be turbulent with tides that come and go. This is like movements and changes in relationships, the ups and downs.
The idea of the bridge representing love is appropriate, it arches over the sea, through good and bad times. It is a bond that ties two points, two ends, two persons together allowing for communication and flow.

How terribly , terribly romantic!
Now how are we to have a chance at winning if you continue to write this well!
Give us little people a break! :-)
Unfortunatley I don't have a six left or this would be more than worthy.
I am in awe of your talent.
Your friend,
Lorraine
