Hi Brooke Your cinquain has very wise words and meaning. Artwork is beautiful. As you explained 'aren't' has one syllable even it is short for 'are not' Cheers Gaye

And now you are working on taking the place of confucious. This is brilliant, Brooke, and so reminds me of his many philosophical quotes I have read. I have reread twice and all I can say is WOW, so insightful and filled with wisdom. Brilliant job. Joyce

I like this and I can relate to it when ever I feel lost I look at the stars it opens my thoughts and makes me feel less closed.
"Can only help the lost who's eyes aren't closed"
Nice picture to go with it too.
Nice like it a lot thanks for posting!

The surreal portrait you etch with so few words is astounding and breathtaking. Not only that, the rhyme scheme and structure are impeccable. While the poem itself is full powerful and provocative imagery. Well done, Poetess!

Beautiful and wonderful. Sad for those who eyes are closed. But grateful for those with their eyes open looking for their way when lost. We are all lost at times it is a nice reminder to not always look down in our self pity or bewildermeant. To look up.

Very good, Brooke. Reminded me of an old saying "whenever you are lost, look up." nice reference to being lost and having one's eyes closed. I love the reference to the stars. All around good poem. - Sam

Profound on so many levels. It is like optimism and pessimism, one see the glass as half full while the other sees is as half empty. We should all remain hopeful because sometimes it is all we have to old onto.

Brooke,

This is an excellent poem, and the picture you borrowed from Fan Art Review is perfect for it. I enjoyed reading this and couldn't find anything to critize. The title is just right.

How very adorable, Brooke, and what a charming image. Yes, we have to be able to see if we want to pier (lol). Wishing on the star, brought childhood memories. We each have a star in our lives and it shines brightly for us. For me it has been poetry. I bless each day that we spend together (smile), and what great day it was when learned I could rhyme!

Adorable and charming. Kudos, my fine poet.

Love, Yelena
