Another excellent haiku! I am picturing the book with all the different colors and flowers presented beautifully with your lovely poems and consistent alliteration. Let me know when it is published. I'll buy a copy! Sue

This short haiku truly has a lot of imagery. The photo is perfect for the poem and was done very well. I love daisies myself.

Congratulations on being recognized once again. I'm sure this is "old hat" to you but wow, what an accolade. Well done. In addition to loving the Shasta daisy, I loved your contrast of gold and the innocence of white. Lovely thought well wrought. I need to find out how to put pictures with what I write. This system does not like my photos for some reason. Regards, Nick

Thank you, Nick. I always use pictures from the sister site Fan Art - I am computer challenged, but even I can click a select button from there so that the picture magically appears here :-) Brooke

Daisies as the "wild child" of the wild flowers! I like it. Again another beautiful example of your understanding and love of nature. You are putting them into a collection, aren't you?

I've tried hard to find a fault, Brooke, but it's impossible. Just consider how well your third line 'satori' comments on its predecessors! Peter

Brooke, you love your flowers, and you love your haikus. There is definitely something paradoxical about a daisy; such simplicity, yet such complexity. "Innocence gone wild" captures this for me.

"Innocence gone wild." I like this idea; it reminds me of a child innocently frolicking in a sunlit field, not unlike how the daisies run wild in this field. (I'm picturing the child as a blonde-haired girl with a white dress on, but that could be because my daughters both have blonde hair.)
Even without the photo, I can see the daisy through your words. Descriptive and eloquent in eleven words. Wow.
I also liked the sense of movement: the swirling of the petals, the innocence going wild (which always implies movement to me). The concept of the petal's pristine qualities and their innocence versus their wildness is delightful. Childlike and happy. Again, I'm picturing my daughters racing around the yard!
Great work, Brooke. Nature certainly inspires you.

You've got this down girl. Your haiku definitely grasp that haiku moment. This one is especially witty and so vividly presented. You are becoming quite accomplished at writing haiku. Loved it!
